Challenge

Customers struggled to make informed decisions about which food was best for their pets, how much to feed them, and the overall cost. The existing website presented a confusing user interface, overloaded with excessive copy, making it difficult for users to digest important product information.

JFFD needed a solution that would simplify the decision-making process and present clear, actionable information in an engaging and accessible way.

Approach

Working closely with a technical architect, business analyst, and project manager, we collaborated on a solution that would streamline the user experience. Our approach focused on simplifying the data display in the UI, enhancing product presentation, and improving tools such as feeding calculators and personalized recommendations to guide customers more intuitively through the decision-making process.

Solution

New product detail & recommendation pages were designed. Product recommendations were tailored to each pet’s unique needs, making the decision process more intuitive. Subscription suggestions were integrated to provide convenience and ensure that customers never ran out of essential supplies.

These enhancements not only improved the overall shopping journey but also led to increased subscriptions and a higher average order value by offering personalized, actionable insights that made the purchase process smoother and more tailored to each customer’s needs.
